Description

I drew this picture for the debut of The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. The entire drawing is hand drawn, inked and colored. (This is my first time drawing any of the dwarves, so I'm pretty proud of how they turned out.) It took me 15 days to complete; between school, Thanksgiving, being sick, and life in general, I'm pretty proud of what I managed to accomplish.

The Misty Mountains are behind them to show that they have just come from them, and are readying themselves for the forests of Mirkwood.

The sky is supposed to be overcast, symbolizing the perils that await the Company. (I seriously have no idea what's gonna happen in part 2. I think something bad's gonna happen, but I don't know for sure. All I know is that they're gonna go through Mirkwood, which is pretty obvious if you look at a map of Middle-earth.)
